The bike ride from Maribo to Rostock follows a disused railway line. Visit Denmark's southernmost point or cycle through Bøtøskoven, where you can encounter free-roaming Scottish Highland cattle.

There are plenty of beautiful nature experiences to discover. Consider an island hop to Askø, Femø, and Fejø, where you can find tranquility and taste local products.

You can take the ferry to Germany from Gedser and experience the beautiful coastline of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. There are many accommodation options, ranging from manors to hotels, campsites, and shelters.

As your cycling tour comes to an end, you can return your bike in either Maribo, Gedser, Copenhagen or Rostock.

Bike selection

For our cross-border pilot, you can choose between two bikes:

Trek Dual Sport 2 Midstep G5 – a lightweight, non-electric hybrid with a low-step frame that makes getting on and off a breeze. It’s built for both smooth pavement and light gravel, so you’ll feel stable whether you’re cruising city streets or coastal trails.

Trek Verve+ 1 Lowstep LT – a comfortable E-bike with a step-through frame, motor assist up to 20 mph, and a battery that lets you ride up to about 40 miles on a charge. It comes ready with lights, fenders, and a rack for your bags, making errands or longer day trips effortless.

Both bikes include GPS tracking as part of the pilot, helping us learn how to make future EuroVelo 10 adventures even better.
